How a search runs, from your side of it.

Four stages, and the timings Marquee holds itself to on each mandate.

  1. Your profile reaches the team

A profile on file is read against each new mandate. Where the fit is close, a member of the team makes contact to talk through the role before anything is sent onward.

  2. The search opens within 12 hours

Once a client agrees the brief, Marquee starts searching inside twelve hours, against an industry norm of two to three days. Moving early is what puts a candidate in front of a hiring team while the seat is open.

  3. A shortlist in about eight days

Marquee writes your profile up in its own format and sends it with your notice period and current package. Shortlists are agreed with the client in about eight days, and nine in ten offers made are accepted.

  4. Contact held until your first day

After an offer is accepted Marquee stays in touch through the notice period, up to the joining date, so the start everyone agreed is the start that happens.

What Marquee asks of you, and what it sends on.

A search works when both sides know what is being shared. This is the whole of it.

The hiring company pays

Every Marquee mandate is contingent, so the fee falls due to the client once a candidate joins. Taking part costs a candidate nothing at any stage.

Your profile, in writing

Marquee prepares a written profile and sends it with your notice period and current package. What reaches a client is the document the team wrote, alongside your own CV.

One reference, usually

A single reference covers most roles. Senior mandates, and clients who ask for more, may call for a second.

Permanent or fractional

A permanent placement joins the client payroll. A fractional engagement runs for an agreed number of days each month on a fixed term, with the contract held by Marquee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Marquee accepts profiles through the form on this page, and reads each one against live mandates. Registering asks for your CV, the functions and levels you are open to, and whether a permanent seat or a fractional engagement suits you. Profiles already on file are among the first the team reviews when a brief arrives, and the search on a new mandate opens within 12 hours of a client agreeing it.

The hiring company pays the fee. Marquee works on a contingent basis across every mandate, which means the fee falls due to the client once a candidate joins. A candidate takes part at every stage at zero cost, from the first conversation through to the joining date.

Marquee agrees a shortlist with the client in about eight days from the start of a mandate, and closes a search in about fourteen. Where a profile matches an open brief, contact usually comes inside that window. A profile that suits a future mandate stays on file and is read again as each new brief arrives.

Marquee sends a written profile, your notice period and your current package. The team drafts that profile in its own format and sends it alongside your CV, so a client reads a consistent document for every candidate on the shortlist. One reference covers most roles, with a second sought on senior mandates or where a client asks.

A permanent placement joins the client payroll; a fractional engagement runs for an agreed number of days each month on a fixed term, with the contract held by Marquee. Both routes run through the same evaluation: technical and functional depth, leadership capability and cultural fit. What changes is how long the role lasts and where the employment relationship sits.
